Setting:
The setting of the story is in the oriental Plaza in Johannesburg, this a shopping centre where most shops are owned by Indian people.
Plot:
Mrs Nebo, her friend Margaret arrived athe the oriental plaza with the chaffeurs. The two ladies were on a shopping expedition. Mrs. Nebo and Margaret bought some shoes, then jewellery, then swimming costumes. Mrs. Nebo saw a lovely Indian dress and decided to buy it. Afterwards she asked the assistant if they have a similar scarf to match that dress. The assistent showed her several scarfs, but she did'nt want any.
She went from shop to shop untill she came Moghul Boutique,he showed her some scarfs and finally she found a scarf that matched the dress perfectly." It was a pure silk scarf and very beautiful".
She decided to take it, she looked into her purse and found out that the money was not enough. She asked if she could pay by cheque, but the shopkeeper declined, saying that he deals strictly by cash, no credit.
Mrs Nebo felt offended immediately, her integrity was being challenged .
Mrs. Nebo caused a scene, saying that the shopkeeper was claiming that she had no money in the bank, while no cheque of her has ever bounced.
The two escorts moved closser, but Mr. Sakur, the shopkeeper did not feel intimidated. He insisted he did'nt care about who she was, he does'nt except cheques. The shopkeepers in the plaza, spoke to Mr. Sakur and told him not to offend the lady,because she was the wife of an important politician, but he remained adimant.
Mrs. Nebo decided she would not move without the scarf. The other shopkeepers was scared their shops would be closed down, so they bought the sild scarf and gave it to her as a gift.
Main Character:
Mrs. Nebo. She was of medium hight, with heavy loins, smooth skin complexion.
Her husband was Clive Nebo, who had already been designed as the Foreing Affairs Minister.
She was a heavy spender.
A sofisticated woman.
She was very particular about wearing clothes whose colours blended harmoniously.
She acts as if she is superior to over others.
Always gets what she wants, one way or another.

Through the Tunnel by Dorris Lessing
Setting: The story unfolded during a summer holiday, at a wild and rocky bay.
Plot:
Jerry and his mother arrived at the holiday distination which was a wild in rocky bay.
The next morning Jerry and his mother went to the bay, his mother went to her beach and he went to the bay.
He saw some boys who were of the coast diving, he wanted to be their friend so he swam closser, they were a little uneasy at first, but later they accepted him.
He began to dive with the boys, one of the bigger boys dive in and only come up after a long time on the other side of a big dark rock. Immediately the rest of them dive in, Jerry followed them. After a while all the other swimmers dissapeared into the rock. He understood that they had swum through some hole or gap in it. He plunged down again but could'nt find the gap because the salt was so painfull in his eyes that he could not see. He asked his mother to buy him goggles, after he searched for the gap a number of times, he finally found it. It was an irregular dark gap. At that moment he knew he must find his way through that tunnel and out on the other side.
The next day he started learning how to control his breath under water. This made his nose bleed and his head dizzy, but he exercised his lungs as if everything depended on it and studied the entrance of the tunnel. The day came that he decided he will do it, at first he was frightened but then he decided, now was the moment. Finally he put on his goggles fitted them tight, tested the vacuum then he drew himself into the tunnel. He was in a small rock-bound hole filled with yellwish grey water, which was pushing him up against the roof which was sharp and paint his back. At first their was no strain on his lungs, then his lungs began to hurt. His head was swelling but he had to go for it. Finally he got out of the tunnel and was in the open sea, he put his face towards the air. He was so weak, he could not even swim the few feet back to the rock. After a while his heart quited and his eyes cleared. He swim to the rock and saw some local boys diving, but he did'nt want them anymore, he just wanted to go home and lie down, so he did.
The main character:
A young english boy named Jerry, eleven years old, an only child. He was an attention seeker. Was emotionally attached to his mother, because she was a widow.
He was a good swimmer.
He did not like failure,as he had bad memories associated with it.
He was diligent , very determined to get what he wants.
Does'nt just make hasty decisions but thinks everything over carefully

my Blog experience
I have mixed feelings about my blog creation. I found it a little challenging,because I never had an interest in social networking including blogging. This created problems as I didnt know how to get started. However,my struggle didnt last for long,because once i got started things went much smoother. The first requirement of creating a blog is to have a google account,being the dedicated student I am,I complied with the criteria. Next I had to get a blogger password so that I could access my account easily,this was another challenge because they ask for password strength,but I finally got that. Now I am a proud owner of a blog account,completing the task made me feel very good. However I stil have to get the hang of blogging,as im still a little lost. I strongly believe that once I start blogging, things will go much smoother. I must say that making new friends will be the most exiting part,im look forward to it. Have a pleasant day everyone.
